Mycopunk leaves Early Access this Tuesday, October 20, with its 1.0 release. Pigeons at Play and Devolver Digital confirmed it in the “1.0 and the Moon” announcement on Steam. The headline addition is X11-B, New Atlas’ moon, a region built to add challenge for players who have been around since Early Access. It’s a co-op looter shooter for up to 4 players, and for your PC the news is good: the minimum is a GTX 960 or a Radeon R9 380.
Mycopunk PC requirements
These are the official requirements from the Steam store page:
| Minimum | Recommended | |
|---|---|---|
| GPU | GeForce GTX 960, Radeon R9 380 or Arc A380 | GeForce RTX 2080, Radeon RX 5700 XT or Arc A750 |
| CPU | Intel Core i3-610 or AMD FX-8350 | Intel Core i7-6700K or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X |
| RAM | 8 GB | Not listed |
| Storage | 10 GB | 10 GB |
| OS | Windows 10 64-bit | Windows 11 64-bit |
The minimum targets Low quality at 1080p and 30 fps. The recommended targets High quality at 1080p and 60 fps. Both require DirectX 12 and a broadband connection. Mycopunk is Windows only: there is no Mac or Linux version.
What 1.0 brings
According to the official announcement, X11-B sits on a moonlet of its own so it stands apart from the rest of the game, in both mechanics and style. There is also a broad round of upgrade tuning focused on making underwhelming upgrades more usable, plus new upgrades for existing weapons and a few boosted exotics. The studio also says post-release content updates are already in the works, and more regions are part of what it is exploring.
Which graphics cards run it
Every popular GPU on our list clears the minimum. Grades are measured against the recommended requirement, with 16 GB of RAM:
- Meet it or have room to spare: the RTX 4060, RTX 3060 Ti and RTX 3070 grade B. The RTX 4070, RTX 5070 and RX 9070 XT grade A, and the RTX 5080 grades S.
- Tight (C): the RTX 2060, RTX 3060, RX 6600 XT, RX 7600 and Arc B580 sit between the minimum and the recommended.
- Struggles (D): the GTX 1060 6GB, GTX 1660 Super and RTX 3050.
- GTX 1650 and RX 580: they clear the minimum but grade F against the recommended. The game launches, but with little headroom: think Low settings.
If your rig has a few years on it, our low-end PC games list has more options that run well.
What about Steam Deck?
Valve has not verified it yet. Our spec-based estimate gives it an F, below the minimum on paper. That is only an estimate from the listed requirements, not a real test. The details are on Mycopunk’s Steam Deck page.
