Methodology

How We Map Handheld Performance

Handhelds use mobile APUs and integrated graphics. Here's how we score them.

GPU Equivalent Scores

Each handheld's integrated GPU is assigned a performance score equivalent to a desktop GPU. For example, the Radeon 780M in the ROG Ally performs roughly like a GTX 1650 desktop card.

TDP-Aware Scoring

Handhelds run at different power envelopes. A chip running at 15W performs differently than at 30W. Our scores account for the typical power profile of each device.

Game Compatibility Grade

The handheld's score is compared against each game's requirements to produce a grade. An "A" means it runs great; an "F" means the hardware is too weak.
