We read your graphics card in the browser and measure it against 8 consoles, using the same GPU scale we use to grade every game. No downloads.
Short answer: a GPU at the level of a Radeon RX 6700 or an RTX 2070 Super (16,450 on our scale) already performs like a PS5. For a docked Switch 2, a GeForce GTX 1050 is enough.

AMD RDNA 2 · 36 CUs up to 2.23 GHz · 10.3 TFLOPS
CPU
AMD Zen 2 · 8 cores / 16 threads up to 3.5 GHz

16 GB GDDR6 shared by CPU and GPU, 448 GB/s

Upscaled 4K at 30 fps in quality modes, 1080p to 1440p at 60 fps in performance modes
Why
Same RDNA 2 architecture and the same 36 compute units. Digital Foundry tested it as "the PS5 GPU in PC form", and BGR pairs it with the RTX 2070 Super.
AMD RDNA · 67% more CUs than the PS5 · 16.7 TFLOPS
CPU
AMD Zen 2 · 8 cores / 16 threads, same family as the PS5
Memory
16 GB GDDR6 shared, 28% faster than on the PS5
Plays at
4K with PSSR upscaling, aiming for 60 fps
Why
In Digital Foundry's matched-settings tests the PS5 Pro lands next to the RX 9060 XT and the RTX 5060 Ti, which stay slightly ahead. Sony quotes up to 45% faster rendering than the PS5.
10 GB GDDR6 shared: 8 GB at 224 GB/s and 2 GB at 56 GB/s
Plays at
Official target: 1440p, up to 120 fps
Why
Same RDNA 2 generation and a similar compute budget. BGR places it in the ballpark of the RX 5500 XT or RX 6500 XT, and next to the GTX 1650 Super on the NVIDIA side.
Up to 4K60 on a TV, with many games at 1080p to 1440p using DLSS. 1080p screen up to 120 Hz
Why
Tom's Hardware and BGR compare its GPU to a mobile RTX 2050 running at much lower clocks. In Digital Foundry's Cyberpunk 2077 test, the docked Switch 2 runs a bit ahead of the Steam Deck, which puts it in GTX 1050 territory on our scale.
Handheld mode drops the GPU from 1,007 to 561 MHz and memory bandwidth by a third, so on raw power it sits below the Steam Deck. Digital Foundry's Cyberpunk 2077 test shows it staying close to the Deck while drawing far less power.
16 GB DDR5 system RAM plus 8 GB GDDR6 video memory, split like a PC

Valve promises up to 4K with FSR
Why
It is a PC, so it was benchmarked like one. Gamers Nexus puts it about level with an RX 6600, an RTX 3060 12 GB or an Arc B570, and Digital Foundry measured the PS5 GPU roughly 15% ahead.
It is if your graphics card scores above 16,450 on our scale, the level of a Radeon RX 6700 or a GeForce RTX 2070 Super. Cards like the RTX 3060 Ti, RTX 4060 or RX 7700 XT already beat it on the GPU. Open this page on your PC and we give you the exact ratio.
What GPU is equivalent to the PS5?
The Radeon RX 6700: same RDNA 2 architecture and the same 36 compute units, and Digital Foundry tested it as the PS5 GPU in PC form. On the NVIDIA side, the usual match is the RTX 2070 Super.
What GPU is equivalent to the PS5 Pro?
Digital Foundry's tests put it next to the Radeon RX 9060 XT and the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB, which run slightly ahead with matched settings. On our scale, 24,500.
What GPU is equivalent to the Xbox Series X or Series S?
The Series X performs like an RTX 2080 according to Digital Foundry's Gears 5 test, or a Radeon RX 6700 XT on the AMD side (18,050 on our scale). The Series S is far lower, around a Radeon RX 6500 XT or a GTX 1650 Super (8,450).
What GPU is equivalent to the Switch 2?
Its GPU is an Ampere chip similar to a laptop RTX 2050 with much lower clocks. Docked, it lands around a GeForce GTX 1050 on our scale (5,450); in handheld mode, near a GTX 750 Ti (3,700). DLSS lets it do more than those numbers suggest in games that use it.
What GPU is equivalent to the Steam Deck?
A Radeon RX 560 (the laptop RX 560X is the same class), a little under a GeForce GTX 1050: 4,550 on our scale. Almost any dedicated gaming GPU from the last few years beats it, but the Deck plays at 800p.
Is the Steam Machine as powerful as a PS5?
Not quite. Its RDNA 3 GPU with 28 compute units benchmarks like an RX 6600 or an RTX 3060 12 GB (14,100 on our scale), and Digital Foundry measured the PS5 GPU about 15% ahead. Its 6-core Zen 4 CPU is newer than the consoles' Zen 2, though.
If my GPU matches a console, will games look the same?
Close, but not identical. Consoles run a light OS and games tuned for one machine, so a PC with the same GPU often needs a bit more to match them. Your CPU and VRAM matter too, and this comparison only measures the GPU.
