Tenebris Somnia, the 2D survival horror game from Andrés Borghi and Saibot Studios, launches today, October 16, on Steam with New Blood Interactive publishing. It takes its cue from classics like Silent Hill and Resident Evil and moves them into an 8 or 16-bit look. It also mixes in live-action sequences with real actors and practical effects, shot by an award-winning film crew from Argentina. For your PC the news is good: the minimum is 8 GB of RAM and a GPU with 4 GB of VRAM, and it is Windows only.
On price, New Blood announced it launches at $24.99 with a 20% discount that brings it to $19.99 during the launch window. There is an extra discount if you own FAITH: The Unholy Trinity, plus “aggressive regional pricing” in regions like LATAM.
Tenebris Somnia PC requirements
These are the official requirements from the Steam page:
| Minimum | Recommended | |
|---|---|---|
| GPU | 4 GB of VRAM or greater | 8 GB of VRAM or greater |
| CPU | 2.4 GHz dual core or higher | 3.6 GHz quad core or higher |
| RAM | 8 GB | 16 GB |
| Storage | 13 GB | 13 GB |
| OS | Windows 10 64-bit or later | Windows 11 64-bit |
Both tiers list DirectX 11. New Blood does not name specific cards, only an amount of VRAM. So canirun turns that into a performance score to compare against your GPU.
Which GPUs run it
Nearly every popular card we check clears the minimum. Grades are measured against the recommended requirement and assume 16 GB of RAM:
- GeForce GTX 1650: by our data it falls below the minimum.
- GeForce GTX 1060 6GB: clears the minimum but grades D against the recommended. It will run with little headroom.
- GeForce RTX 3060 and Radeon RX 7600: meet the recommended and grade B.
If you are unsure, the Steam page offers a demo to download. It is the most direct way to test the game on your own machine before buying.

In its September 24 announcement, New Blood said Tenebris Somnia is Steam Deck Verified. Our data does not show Valve’s rating yet, so check the game’s Steam Deck page, which updates once it appears. There is no Mac or Linux version on Steam.
