Disney/Pixar Toy Story: Retro Roundup! launches on Steam today, October 15, from Digital Eclipse. It bundles five classic games, four Toy Story titles plus A Bug’s Life, in 11 versions across console and handheld: the store page lists Toy Story (1995), Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue! (1999), Toy Story 2 (1999), Buzz Lightyear of Star Command (2000), Toy Story Racer (2001) and A Bug’s Life (1998). Every game gets extras like Rewind to undo mistakes, Rex’s Cheat Codes (unlimited lives or invincibility), a Practice Mode and a virtual museum with design documents. For PC players, the good news is how little it asks for: a GTX 460 and 8 GB of RAM.
Toy Story: Retro Roundup! PC requirements
These are the requirements from the Steam store page. For now there is only a minimum: the recommended entry just asks for a 64-bit processor and operating system.
| Minimum | Recommended | |
|---|---|---|
| GPU | GeForce GTX 460 or Radeon R7 250X | Not specified |
| CPU | Core i3-4100 or AMD A8-6600K | Not specified |
| RAM | 8 GB | Not specified |
| Storage | 8 GB | Not specified |
| OS | Windows 10 64-bit | 64-bit |
The Steam page lists Windows only: there is no Mac or Linux version.
Which GPUs run it?
Every popular card we check clears the minimum with plenty of room to spare. That includes the most modest ones on the list, like the GTX 1650, the RX 580 and the GTX 1060 6GB, as well as current cards like the RTX 4060 or the Arc B580. Since Steam does not list a recommended spec, the minimum is the useful reference here, and all of them clear it.
Memory is no hurdle either: 8 GB of RAM meets the requirement. If your PC is a few years old and you want more games that run well on it, check our list of games for low-end PCs.
What about Steam Deck?
Valve has not rated it yet. On specs alone, the Deck clears the minimum and our estimate gives it an S, but that is only a spec-based estimate, not a Valve test. You can follow the details on the game’s Steam Deck page.
