Enshrouded 1.0 leaves Early Access on October 15: PC requirements and GPUs
Enshrouded leaves Early Access with 1.0 on October 15. Here are the PC requirements (16 GB of RAM even at minimum), which GPUs clear the minimum and recommended specs, and how it rates on Steam Deck.

Enshrouded leaves Early Access tomorrow, October 15, with version 1.0. Keen Games’ co-op survival game, in Early Access since January 2024, answered the two questions PC players care about most in its launch FAQ: if you bought it in Early Access, you don’t need to buy it again, and your saves still work. Before you jump back in, or start for the first time, check what it asks for, because it needs 16 GB of RAM even at minimum.
1.0 adds Sparkworks, a logic system that wires levers or pressure plates to doors and traps, and nine new spells for mages, including totem and skeleton summons. Early Access saves get converted to a new, more efficient format, though Keen encourages starting over because the world and the first few hours changed a lot. The game will not be cross-platform at launch.
Enshrouded PC requirements
These are the official requirements from the Steam page:
| Minimum | Recommended | |
|---|---|---|
| GPU | GTX 1060, RX 580 or Arc A380 (6 GB VRAM) | RTX 2070 Super, RX 6700 XT or Arc A770 (6 GB VRAM) |
| CPU | Core i5-6400 or Ryzen 5 1500X | Core i7-8700 or Ryzen 7 2700X |
| RAM | 16 GB | 16 GB |
| Storage | 60 GB | 60 GB (SSD recommended) |
| OS | Windows 10 64-bit | Windows 10 64-bit |
The jump from minimum to recommended is in the GPU and CPU. RAM is the same in both: if your PC has less than 16 GB, you’re below the minimum even if your graphics card is fine. It’s Windows only, with no Mac or Linux requirements.
Which GPUs run it
canirun grades are measured against the recommended requirement, with 16 GB of RAM:
- GTX 1060 6 GB: clears the minimum, but grades D against the recommended, so expect it to struggle. See what else the GTX 1060 runs.
- RTX 3060: clears the minimum and grades C, sitting between minimum and recommended. Here’s its full list.
- RTX 4060: meets the recommended with a B. More on the RTX 4060 page.
- RTX 4070: grades A, well above the recommended.
Watch out with the RX 580: even though Keen lists it in the minimum, it falls short of the minimum score in canirun’s benchmarks. The GTX 1650 doesn’t reach it either.
What about the Steam Deck?
Valve lists it as Unsupported, so it hasn’t been verified. Our spec-based estimate, which is only that, gives it an F: the Deck falls below the minimum. The details are on the Enshrouded Steam Deck page.
