GeForce NOW Adds DLSS 4.5 Controls, Enshrouded 1.0 and Boltgun 2 to the Cloud
GeForce NOW adds DLSS 4.5 controls, Enshrouded 1.0 at launch and 10 new games including Boltgun 2, Planet Zoo 2 and Valor Mortis. What each addition brings and which of these games are the heaviest for your PC according to canirun.

On October 15, NVIDIA’s GFN Thursday brought two things for cloud players. DLSS 4.5 controls are now available on GeForce NOW, and 10 new games join the library, including Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2, Planet Zoo 2 and the Xbox version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Remastered. On top of that, Enshrouded leaves early access with its 1.0 release and streams on GeForce NOW at launch. If your PC cannot keep up with one of these games, this is the workaround: according to NVIDIA, you play without downloads, installs or expensive hardware upgrades.
On October 7 we told you what was coming to Xbox Cloud Gaming this month, with Valor Mortis among the new arrivals. Now the same game shows up on the GeForce NOW list too.
What the DLSS 4.5 controls are
They are new settings that let you choose how supported games look and perform in the cloud:
- DLSS Super Resolution: sharpens image quality.
- Dynamic Multi Frame Generation: according to NVIDIA, lowers latency and reduces stutter for smoother streaming.
- Ray Reconstruction: enhances ray-traced visuals.
Ultimate members streaming on GeForce RTX 5080-powered cloud rigs get the maximum available options, including Dynamic Multi Frame Generation up to 4X. The settings live in the GeForce NOW app under settings, on Windows, macOS, Chrome OS and Steam OS. NVIDIA names 007 First Light, which now supports path tracing, CONTROL Resonant and Resident Evil Requiem as examples.
NVIDIA also said the DLSS 5 model’s performance is improving by 2X, with the new model debuting in NBA 2K27 on October 16 on GeForce NOW, GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs and RTX Spark laptops. If you want to try before paying for a membership, there is a day pass, and its cost can be applied toward your first monthly membership.
This week’s new games
Enshrouded 1.0 adds nine new spells, new mage and archer skills, and a new biome that raises the player level cap to 50 and the equipment cap to 55. In the cloud you skip the 60GB local install. Here is this week’s list, with the release date on each store:
- Deep Dish Dungeon (Steam, October 13)
- Planet Zoo 2 (Steam, October 13)
- Total War: SHOGUN 2 - Complete Edition (Steam, October 13)
- Valor Mortis (Steam, October 13)
- Among the Trolls (Steam, October 14)
- Over the Hill (Steam, October 14)
- Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 (Steam, October 14)
- Beyond These Stars (Steam and Xbox, October 15, on Game Pass)
- Tenebris Somnia (Steam, October 16)
- The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Remastered (Xbox, on Microsoft Store)
NVIDIA notes that games are added to GeForce NOW throughout the week, so some may take a few days to show up.
Which ones are heaviest for your PC
On canirun, Valor Mortis is the most demanding game on the list: its recommended GPU has a benchmark score of 26,500. Next come Planet Zoo 2 at 21,750 and Among the Trolls at 21,050, which also asks for 32 GB of RAM in its recommended spec. Those are the ones where streaming makes the most sense if your rig is modest.
At the other end, Boltgun 2 is light: a score of 7,950 and 8 GB of recommended RAM. Deep Dish Dungeon sits at 1,900. If your PC is getting old, also check out games for low-end PCs.
Can your PC run this week’s GeForce NOW games?
Here is how your rig grades against the heaviest games of the week and against Boltgun 2:
| Game | Rec. GPU score | Rec. RAM | Min. RAM | Your PC |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| | 26,500 | 16 GB | 16 GB | ? |
| | 21,750 | 16 GB | 16 GB | ? |
| | 21,050 | 32 GB | 16 GB | ? |
| | 7,950 | 8 GB | 8 GB | ? |
Each grade is measured against the recommended requirement. If you fall short, the Valor Mortis or Planet Zoo 2 page shows what you are missing, and the cloud stays as your plan B.
