NARAKA: BLADEPOINT, the melee battle royale from 24 Entertainment, has 60,055 concurrent players on Steam right now. Showdown Season 6.0 started on September 3 with Inor Wan as a new hero. The September 16 update added the Martial Artist Duel·Competition casual mode: one-on-one duels played best of five. The Dueling! 0924 event runs until October 8. Since the game is free, the question before you download it is simple: can your PC handle it? The short answer is that it asks for little, but there is one Windows setting worth checking before you pull down 90 GB.
NARAKA: BLADEPOINT PC requirements
These are the official requirements from the Steam page. The game is Windows only:
| Minimum | Recommended | |
|---|---|---|
| GPU | GTX 750 Ti, Arc A380 or HD 6950 | GTX 1060 6 GB, Arc A750 or RX 480 |
| CPU | Intel i5 4th gen or AMD FX 6300 | Intel i7 7th gen |
| RAM | 8 GB | 16 GB |
| Storage | 90 GB | 90 GB |
| OS | Windows 10 64-bit or newer | Windows 10 64-bit |
According to the studio, the minimum targets 720p at 60 fps and the recommended targets 1080p at 60 fps. Both use DirectX 11 and need a broadband connection. Two notes matter:
- SSD advised. The studio recommends installing on an SSD for a smoother experience.
- Memory integrity and VBS turned off. The store page says the game requires Windows Memory integrity and virtualization-based security (VBS) to be disabled. If the game will not start, check this first.
Which GPUs run it
Against the studio’s listed specs, every GPU on our reference list clears the minimum, even the older ones. The grades below are measured against the recommended requirement, with 16 GB of RAM:
- GTX 1650 and RX 580: clear the minimum and grade C, “Tight”. You can play, but with less headroom than the recommended spec, so lowering a few settings is expected.
- GTX 1060 6GB, GTX 1660 Super and RTX 3050: meet the recommended and grade B, “Solid”.
- RTX 3060, RTX 2060, RX 6600 XT, RX 7600 and Arc B580: grade A, “Smooth”, with room to spare over the recommended.
- RTX 4070, RTX 5070, RTX 5080 and RX 9070 XT: S, “Overkill”.
What counts is performance, not age. The recommended spec asks for a GTX 1060 6 GB or equivalent, so a card at that level or above has it covered. Do not go by the model name alone: the GTX 1650 and RX 580 fall short of the recommended even though they clear the minimum. RAM is the other thing to watch: the recommended asks for 16 GB and the minimum for 8 GB.
What about the Steam Deck?
Valve rates it Playable. Even so, in canirun’s data the Steam Deck falls below the studio’s listed minimum. Expect to lower settings and accept a less polished experience than on a desktop PC. The details are on the NARAKA: BLADEPOINT Steam Deck page.
