STALZONE confirms client crashes and opens a test server: can your PC run it?
EXBO confirmed performance issues and client crashes in STALZONE and opened a test server running October 16 to 18. Who gets in, what is being tested, PC requirements, which graphics cards run it and how it does on Steam Deck.

STALZONE, EXBO’s free-to-play extraction shooter, has had a busy week. On October 14 the studio posted on Steam that the game is having performance issues and client crashes. Today, October 16, it opened an Open Test Server (OTS) to try out updated wide range detectors, squad-based matchmaking and inventory item locking. On October 3 we told you that EXBO had fixed the FPS drops from the September 30 update. Here is what is new since then, with 20,774 concurrent players on Steam right now.
Crashes and performance: what EXBO said
The October 14 notice is short. EXBO says it is experiencing performance issues and client crashes and is working to resolve them as soon as possible. It gives no steps for players and no date. The October 15 hotfix does not mention the crashes either: that change dealt with the Advanced Case in the shop. For now there is no official fix. If the game crashes on you, the studio has already acknowledged the problem.
The test server, October 16 to 18
The OTS gives early access to versions of major updates, so players can help find issues before the final release.
- Who gets in: EU and RU players only, and a limited number of them. Invitations go to players who actively took part in signal searching or often played in squads.
- How to check: on Steam, look for an in-game message from System on your most recently active character titled “OTS invitation: WRD, squad-based matchmaking, and item locking in inventory”. If you do not have it, you are not eligible. EXBO launcher users will see a separate server, STALZONE OTS.
- When: from October 16, 15:00 UTC to October 18, 20:59 UTC. The server may be stopped or restarted at any time.
- Your progress: you start with the gear you had when you were added to the list, and nothing you do on the OTS carries over to the live servers.

Which graphics cards run it?
Every card we checked clears the minimum. Grades are measured against the recommended requirement, with 16 GB of RAM:
- GTX 1650: clears the minimum and grades C (Tight). It runs, with little headroom.
- RX 580: Steam lists it as recommended, but on canirun it also grades C (Tight). It clears the minimum.
- GTX 1060 6GB: B (Solid), right at the recommended.
- RTX 3060: A (Smooth), with plenty of room for this game.
On Steam Deck, Valve rates it Playable. See the STALZONE Steam Deck page for details.
