STALZONE fixes the post-patch FPS drops and gives out a promo code: can your PC run it?
EXBO fixed the freezes and FPS drops that hit STALZONE after the September 30 update and is giving out a promo code through October 8. PC requirements, which graphics cards run it and how it does on Steam Deck.

If STALZONE has been freezing or dropping frames since the September 30 update, the problem came from the patch. EXBO acknowledged “numerous technical issues” after that update and says the issue causing freezes and FPS drops has been resolved. As an apology, it’s handing out a code for in-game resources that expires on October 8. On October 1 we covered STALZONE’s PC requirements after the economy update. The requirements are unchanged.
What EXBO fixed and how to claim the compensation
According to the official Steam announcement, almost all bugs are already fixed or being fixed:
- Freezes and FPS drops: resolved.
- Broken animations: some are already fixed, and the rest will be fixed by next Wednesday.
- EXBO says it is monitoring the situation.
The compensation code is SZ-01OCT2026-SORRY. You can activate it only once per account, and it’s valid until October 8, 2026 at 20:59 (UTC), inclusive. It gives you 15 Overdrives, 15 Season crates, 30 Advanced spare parts, 15 Advanced tools, 5 Weapon components (Master), 5 Armor components (Master), 5 Garlic soups and 5 Geyser vodkas.
A hotfix also landed on October 2 without taking the servers down. It adds alternative crafting options in the Hideout, where Artifact Fragments are replaced with Samples. The announcement doesn’t mention any performance changes.
STALZONE PC requirements
These come from the Steam page. The game is Windows only:
| Minimum | Recommended | |
|---|---|---|
| GPU | GeForce GTX 950 or Radeon RX 560 | GeForce GTX 1060 or Radeon RX 580 |
| CPU | Core i3-6100 or Ryzen 3 1200 | Core i5-7400 or Ryzen 5 1600 |
| RAM | 4 GB | 8 GB |
| Storage | 50 GB (SSD recommended) | 50 GB (SSD recommended) |
| OS | Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit | Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit |
Both tiers list a broadband internet connection, and EXBO recommends an SSD.
Which graphics cards run it
Every card we track clears the minimum. Grades are measured against the recommended requirement:
- GTX 1650 and RX 580: clear the minimum with a C (Tight). They run it, but with little headroom. Note on the RX 580: even though it’s listed in Steam’s recommended specs, its canirun score lands slightly below that bar.
- GTX 1060 6GB: meets the recommended exactly, with a B.
- RTX 3050, RTX 3060, RX 6600 XT and Arc B580: grade A (Smooth).
- RTX 3060 Ti, RTX 4060, RTX 3070 and RX 9070 XT: grade S, with plenty to spare.
What about Steam Deck?
Valve has tested it and rates it Playable on Steam Deck. You’ll find more details on STALZONE’s Steam Deck page.
Can your PC run STALZONE?
Here’s how your PC grades against STALZONE and against Once Human, which asks for the same recommended GPU score but 16 GB of RAM:
| Game | Rec. GPU score | Rec. RAM | Min. RAM | Your PC |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| | 9,500 | 8 GB | 4 GB | ? |
| | 9,500 | 16 GB | 8 GB | ? |
