STAR WARS: Galactic Racer launches tomorrow, October 6, on Steam, and the store page already makes clear what it needs: the minimum starts at an RTX 2060, 12 GB of RAM and 50 GB on a required SSD. It is Fuse Games and Secret Mode’s racer set in the Outer Rim, with landspeeders, speeder bikes, skim speeders and podracers, priced at $59.99. What is still missing: the studio has not published recommended requirements, so for now we only know where the floor is.

The game is Windows only: Steam lists no Mac or Linux version.
Which GPUs clear the minimum
The RTX 2060 is the minimum GPU itself, so if you have an RTX 2060 you are right at the entry line. The RTX 3060, RTX 4060, RX 6600 XT and RX 7600 clear it with room to spare, and so does everything above them on our list.
The less happy part is for several very common cards that do not reach the minimum:
- GTX 1660 Super and RTX 3050: they fall below the RTX 2060 in the minimum spec.
- Arc B580: the closest miss. In our benchmark table it scores 14,200 against 14,300 for the minimum GPU, so it lands just under the line.
- GTX 1060 6GB, GTX 1650 and RX 580: they are well short of the minimum.
One more thing that matters: the SSD is not a suggestion. The store page lists it as required, so a hard drive does not meet the minimum even if your GPU does.
What about Steam Deck?
Valve has not verified it yet. Based on the store requirements, our spec-based estimate gives it an F and puts the Deck below the minimum, but that is only an estimate from the specs, not a real test. You can follow it on its Steam Deck page.
