EA SPORTS FC 27 PC requirements: which GPUs run it and how it does on Steam Deck
EA SPORTS FC 27 is out on PC. Here are the minimum and recommended requirements, which popular GPUs clear each one on canirun, the performance issues EA has acknowledged, and why it does not run on Steam Deck.
In this guide 4
EA SPORTS FC 27 launched on PC on September 24, 2026 at $69.99 on Steam, and a week later plenty of people are still playing: 59,447 concurrent players at the time of writing. The requirements will not force a new machine on most players, but EA admits the PC launch has performance problems it is still fixing, so it helps to know where your rig stands before you blame it for a stutter.
EA SPORTS FC 27 PC requirements
These are the official requirements from the Steam store page. The game is Windows only: there is no Mac or Linux version.
| Minimum | Recommended | |
|---|---|---|
| GPU | AMD RX 570 or Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti | AMD RX 5600 XT or Nvidia GTX 1660 |
| CPU | AMD Ryzen 5 1600 or Intel Core i5 6600K | AMD Ryzen 7 2700X or Intel Core i7 6700 |
| RAM | 8 GB DDR4 dual channel | 12 GB dual channel |
| Storage | 100 GB, SSD recommended | 100 GB, SSD required |
| OS | Windows 10/11 64-bit | Windows 10/11 64-bit |
Both tiers list DirectX 12 and a broadband connection. EA estimates the minimum spec delivers 1280x720 at 60 FPS on the Low preset, and the recommended spec 1920x1080 at 60 FPS on the Medium preset. Watch the drive: at the recommended tier the SSD stops being a suggestion and becomes a requirement.
Which GPUs run it
On canirun, grades are measured against the recommended requirement, assuming 16 GB of RAM. Every popular GPU we checked clears the minimum; what changes is how much headroom you get:
- GTX 1650: clears the minimum but grades D (Struggles) against the recommended. It runs, though you will live near the Low preset.
- RTX 3050: clears the minimum and grades C (Tight), between the minimum and the recommended.
- RTX 2060: clears the recommended with a B (Solid).
- RTX 3060: clears the recommended with an A (Smooth), with room to spare at 1080p.
If you have been playing FC 26, canirun gives FC 27’s recommended spec the same GPU score, 13,100, and the same RAM, 12 GB. If your PC graded well on last year’s game, it should look the same here.
Launch performance and Steam Deck
On September 30, EA published PC developer launch notes acknowledging reports of frame-rate drops, micro-stutters and instability during certain cutscenes and stadium sequences, particularly around set pieces. The team is also investigating stuttering, input delay and frame-rate instability across a range of PC hardware, performance degradation when Cloth Quality is set to Medium, and problems with the Frame Rate Limit setting. In The Grounds, a smaller number of players report frame-rate drops, loading issues and getting stuck in the hub. Title Update 1.0.1 already included crash fixes. In practice: if your GPU grades A or S and you still see stutters, it is not always your hardware.
No luck on Steam Deck. Valve rates it Unsupported and on canirun it does not clear the minimum, grading F. The details are on the FC 27 Steam Deck page.
