The Wolf Among Us Remastered launches tomorrow: PC requirements and which GPUs run it

The Wolf Among Us Remastered launches tomorrow, October 29, on Steam, and the good news for PC players is that it asks for very little: the recommended spec is a GTX 1050 Ti or an RX 6400 with 8 GB of RAM, aimed at 1080p and 60 fps on High. Telltale bundles all five episodes of Bigby Wolf’s story with improved lighting, updated animation, playable deleted scenes and a new Noir Mode that turns the whole game black and white, which you can switch on or off at any time. It costs $24.99, and Telltale has announced launch discounts off that price.

The minimum targets 1080p at 30 fps on Low; the recommended targets 1080p at 60 fps on High. The store page does not list the install size yet. For now it is Windows only: there is no Mac or Linux version listed.
Which GPUs run it
Every popular card we checked clears both the minimum and the recommended. The tightest fit is the GTX 1650, which grades B (Solid) measured against the recommended. The GTX 1060 6GB and the RX 580 move up to A (Smooth), and everything from the RTX 3050 up is S (Overkill). If your graphics card is from the last several years, you are covered.
What does change from the original game is memory. On canirun, the original’s recommended spec has a GPU score of 2,500 and asks for 4 GB of RAM; the Remastered goes up to 6,350 and needs 8 GB even at minimum. If you played the original on a 4 GB machine, the GPU may be fine this time, but you will come up short on RAM.
What about the Steam Deck?
Valve has not verified it yet. Based on our spec-based estimate, the Deck clears the minimum and grades D measured against the recommended: it should start up, but it sits between the minimum and the recommended, so expect less headroom. Once Valve rates it, you will see it on the game’s Steam Deck page.
