Danchi Days PC requirements: it runs on almost any laptop, Windows or Mac

Danchi Days, a slice-of-life adventure set in a 2000s Japanese neighborhood, is out today, October 29, on Steam for Windows and Mac. You play as Hoshino, a 12-year-old trying to revive the summer festival in her danchi, a Japanese mass housing complex, while uncovering truths about her grandma, who lives with dementia. The good news for your PC is how little it asks: the Steam page says any mid-tier laptop will do and notes that it is not a GPU-intensive game.

Analgesic Productions publishes the game. sandy powder writes the story and co-designs it, mogumu is the artist, and Melos Han-Tani (Anodyne 1+2, Even the Ocean, Sephonie, Angeline Era) handles programming, music, game design and the English translation. The official announcement says it launches in Simplified Chinese, English and Japanese. The Traditional Chinese version is expected in late November 2026.

These are the requirements from the Steam page. The studio only published the minimum. The recommended spec just says the game requires a 64-bit processor and operating system.

The studio’s own note puts it plainly: “Not a GPU-intensive game.”

Which GPUs run it

Every graphics card we track on canirun clears the minimum, from the oldest to the newest. That includes cards with a few years on them, like the GTX 1650, the GTX 1060 6GB and the Radeon RX 580, as well as the Intel Arc B580. On Mac and Steam Deck

On Mac the minimum is nearly the same: any macOS from the past 3 years, a 64-bit dual-core 2.5 GHz processor, 4 GB of RAM, any mid-tier laptop and 1 GB of storage. Steam does not list a Linux version. For more Mac-friendly titles, see games that run on Mac.
