Zombie Assault: Resurgence, Ninja Kiwi’s top-down shooter with RPG elements, launches today, October 28, on Windows with a native macOS version. It’s a light game: it takes only 4 GB and asks for any DirectX 12 compatible graphics card. If your PC has a few years on it, the real question isn’t the GPU but the processor and the RAM.
You can play solo or in co-op with up to 4 players, with three classes (Assault, Heavy and Medic) and over 60 primary and secondary weapons. For launch, Community Manager Ryan is streaming live on the game’s Steam store page from 2pm to 4pm (GMT), playing matches with the community.
Zombie Assault: Resurgence PC requirements
These are the official requirements from the Steam page:
| Minimum | Recommended | |
|---|---|---|
| GPU | DirectX 12 compatible | DirectX 12 compatible |
| CPU | 3.2 GHz Quad Core 64-bit | 4.6 GHz 6-Core 64-bit or higher |
| RAM | 8 GB | 16 GB |
| Storage | 4 GB | 4 GB |
| OS | Windows 10 | Windows 11 |
Both tiers also list a broadband internet connection.
Which graphics cards run it?
Every GPU we checked clears both the minimum and the recommended, and grades S (Overkill), measured against the recommended requirement. That covers older or entry-level cards like the GTX 1650 and the RX 580, as well as the Arc B580 or the RTX 4060.
Two details before you relax:
- RAM makes the difference. Our grades assume 16 GB, which is exactly the recommended. With 8 GB you’re at the minimum.
- The recommended CPU is a real ask: a 6-core at 4.6 GHz or higher. The canirun grade measures your GPU and RAM, so check your processor against the table.

Mac and Steam Deck
On Mac you need an Apple processor: the minimum is an M1 with macOS 13 and 8 GB of RAM, and the recommended is an M2 with macOS 14 and 16 GB. Storage is the same 4 GB. There is no Linux version on Steam. You’ll find more options in our Mac games list.
On Steam Deck, Valve hasn’t verified it yet. Based only on the specs, our estimate gives it an A and it clears the minimum, but that’s an estimate, not a test. The details are on the game’s Steam Deck page.
