Hunting Simulator 3 launches today, October 29, on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It is the new hunting sim from Nacon Studio Ghent. It is an open world with two regions, Colorado and Texas, each about 100 km² with 37 animal species. You hunt with your dog and with licensed gear from brands like Remington, Beretta and Browning. For PC players, the key point is that the entry bar is not low: you need at least an RTX 2060 or an RX 5600 XT with 6 GB, and Steam lists only Windows 11.

Both tiers call for DirectX 12 and 25 GB of free space. The standout is the recommended processor. It asks for a Core i5-14600K or a Ryzen 9 7900X, a big step up from the i5-9400F or Ryzen 5 3600 on the minimum.
Which GPUs clear the minimum and the recommended
On the minimum, the line falls right at the RTX 20 generation. Grades are measured against the recommended requirement and assume 16 GB of RAM:
- Clear the minimum but fall short of the recommended: the RTX 2060 and Intel Arc B580 grade D. The RTX 3060, RX 6600 XT and RX 7600 grade C. They run the game, with little headroom.
- Meet the recommended: the RTX 3060 Ti, RTX 4060, RTX 3070 and RTX 4070 grade B. The RTX 5070, RTX 5080 and RX 9070 XT reach A.
- Fall below the minimum: the GTX 1650, GTX 1060 6GB, GTX 1660 Super, RTX 3050 and RX 580.
If you are on the fence, the demo stays on Steam until the full game launches. It is the most direct way to see how your rig handles it before you buy.
What about Mac, Linux or Steam Deck?
Steam lists it for Windows only, with no Mac or Linux version. On Steam Deck, Valve has not verified it yet. Our spec-based estimate gives it an F: on paper, the Deck falls below the minimum. The details are on the game’s Steam Deck page.
