Probably Stolen sells 200,000 copies in hours: two hotfixes and ultrawide fixes
Probably Stolen sold 200,000 copies in its first hours and already got two hotfixes: fixes for ultrawide and non-16:9 monitors plus a water balance pass. The requirements stay tiny and Valve rates it Playable on Steam Deck.

Probably Stolen had a huge first day. According to the studio’s Steam announcement, it sold 200,000 copies in its first few hours, passed 86,000 concurrent players within 90 minutes of launch and reached #2 in Steam’s Global Top Sellers. Two hotfixes landed the same day, October 28: 1.0.0.1 and 1.0.0.2. The first one matters if you play on an ultrawide monitor or any display that isn’t 16:9. On October 28 we told you that the game asks for very little, and that has not changed.
The interest is holding up: it had 76,144 concurrent players as we put this together. The studio’s sales post also reported 95% positive reviews from 400+ reviews, a figure from the moment it was written.
What hotfixes 1.0.0.1 and 1.0.0.2 bring
Neither patch touches the requirements or mentions performance. Still, 1.0.0.1 fixes two display annoyances:
- Hidden tooltips: info tooltips, such as the one on the Appraisal Certificate window, appeared behind the window on ultrawide and other non-16:9 fullscreen displays.
- Documents snapping back: a resized Wanted board, Exchange sheet or Tablet snapped back to its original size on non-16:9 monitors whenever another document was opened.
The same patch fixes the Merchant always saying he wants a 15% discount. He now states the discount he actually takes on your difficulty. It also fixes two cases where items inside a Smuggler Bay were confiscated during inspections: when the bay was in the trash can, and when a Mini Smuggler Bay had been kept behind the poster.
Version 1.0.0.2 rebalances water, based on community feedback:
- Water Purifier: its logic was reworked to be more intuitive.
- Lower prices: the Moisture Farm drops from 650 to 350 and the Water Filter from 50 to 25.
- Dr. Jackson: his markup drops from 25% to 15% on Normal.
Lou can no longer be shot during any of her visits, and the blackmailer no longer leaves you without a way to pay when you have enough Credits. The studio also says there are already several dozen mods on the Steam Workshop.

On Steam Deck, Valve rates it Playable. You can find the details on its Steam Deck page. If you haven’t bought it yet, it still has a 10% discount on Steam: $17.99 in the US store.
