Copperfell PC requirements: Grandayy's pixel art RPG runs on almost any PC
Copperfell is out today on Steam and asks for very little: Windows 10, 2 GB of RAM, 500 MB of video memory and 250 MB of storage. Here is which GPUs run it, what the full game adds and how it does on Steam Deck.

Copperfell, Grandayy’s pixel art RPG that its Steam page compares to games such as RuneScape, is out today, October 28, on Steam. This is the full release after more than 4 years of work, according to the developer’s own announcement, and if you played the demo you can pick up where you left off: your save progress carries over. For your PC the news is good: it asks for so little that almost any Windows 10 machine can run it.
Copperfell PC requirements
These are the official requirements from the Steam page. The game only lists a minimum:
| Minimum | Recommended | |
|---|---|---|
| GPU | 500 MB video memory, Shader Model 3.0, DirectX 10 | Not listed |
| CPU | 2 GHz | Not listed |
| RAM | 2 GB | Not listed |
| Storage | 250 MB | Not listed |
| OS | Windows 10 | Not listed |
On Steam it is Windows only: there is no Mac or Linux version.
Which GPUs run it
With no recommended spec, the useful comparison is against the minimum, and there are no surprises: every popular card on our list clears it with room to spare, from a GTX 1650 or a Radeon RX 580 up to an RTX 4060 or an Arc B580. On canirun you will see all of them marked “Overkill”.
If your machine has a few years on it, this is one of those releases worth a look, along with the rest of our games for low-end PCs. And since the free demo is still available, you can try it on your own PC before you buy.
Demo and full game
The demo has a smaller world and skills capped at level 50, but no time limit. According to the launch announcement, the full game adds:
- A much bigger world, with new settlements and biomes.
- 17 new quests and tougher monsters, including 2 bosses.
- Dungeon trials, made of several monster-filled chambers with rewards at the end.
- More crafting systems, such as potion brewing, plus Steam achievements.
In total there are 24 skills to level up, with combat split between melee, shooting and sorcery.
What about Steam Deck?
Valve has not verified it yet, so there is no official rating. Based on specs, our estimate is S: that is an estimate from the requirements, not a test on the device.
What is official is controller support. On October 11 the developer published an official controller layout through Steam Input, designed mainly for the Deck: it uses the right trackpad as a mouse and makes use of the back buttons. The in-game UI still shows keyboard key names instead of controller icons, something the developer says is in the plans. If the layout does not turn on by itself, you can pick it from the controller icon next to the Play button in your Steam library. More details on Copperfell on Steam Deck.
