Graveyard Keeper 2 patch 1.008 went live today, October 2. It is the latest in a string of fixes Lazy Bear Games has shipped since the September 22 launch. It fixes a crash when going to bed, saves that got stuck on an infinite load screen, and error messages that kept popping up. It also tweaks the town economy. If you were waiting for the game to settle before buying, the remaining question is how your PC handles it. The answer is reassuring: the minimum is low and the game is Verified on Steam Deck.
Graveyard Keeper 2 PC requirements
These are the Windows requirements from the Steam page:
| Minimum | Recommended | |
|---|---|---|
| GPU | GeForce GTX 1650 or similar | GeForce RTX 3060 or similar |
| CPU | Intel Core i3 (13th gen) or similar | Intel Core i5 (13th gen) or similar |
| RAM | 6 GB | 8 GB |
| Storage | 4 GB | 4 GB |
| OS | Windows 10 64-bit or higher | Windows 10 64-bit or higher |
Both tiers require DirectX 12. On Steam the game is Windows only: there is no Mac or Linux version.
Which cards run it
Every GPU on our reference list clears the minimum. What changes is how much headroom you have against the recommended spec. canirun grades are measured against the recommended requirement and assume 16 GB of RAM:
- GTX 1650: this is the minimum card. It clears the minimum, but it grades F against the recommended, so it will struggle.
- RTX 2060: grades C. It sits between the minimum and the recommended.
- RTX 3060: this is the recommended card and it grades B, so it meets the spec.
- RTX 4060: also grades B.
If you own a GTX 1650, an RTX 2060 or an RTX 3060, its page shows what else it runs.
What the patches fixed on PC
Patch 1.008 is mostly about gameplay, but earlier patches brought changes you notice on PC:
- 1.005: improved performance at the top of the alchemy tower, where there were heavy FPS drops.
- 1.006: fixed intermittent crashes on ultrawide and non-standard resolutions. Changing resolution no longer breaks grass sway. It also added in-game bug reporting to the Steam PC build.
- 1.008: fixes crashes and quest soft-locks. On balance, deliveries earn more likes, orders ask for fewer crates, and winning battles gives more Town Gratitude.
None of these notes mention any change to the system requirements.
