NVIDIA RTX Spark laptops go on sale today, October 16, worldwide. ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft and MSI are selling them starting at $2,599. On October 8 we told you what this chip is and that preorders were open. What is new today is the actual list of models, the starting price and the games NVIDIA says are ready at launch. If you are thinking about a laptop for gaming, it is an expensive option that still leaves some questions open.
Which models are out and what they cost
NVIDIA says pricing and configurations vary by region and that more systems will follow. For now, the lineup is:
- ASUS: ProArt P14 and P16
- Dell: XPS 16
- HP: OmniBook Ultra and OmniBook X 14
- Lenovo: Yoga Pro 9n
- Microsoft: Surface Laptop Ultra
- MSI: Prestige N16 Flip AI+ and Prestige N16
They are sold through each brand’s website and major retailers. All of them use the same superchip: a Blackwell RTX GPU and a Grace CPU in a single package, with up to 128GB of unified memory shared by the graphics and the processor. MediaTek worked with NVIDIA on the CPU design.
What it promises for gaming
NVIDIA’s headline claim is AAA games at 1440p at over 100 frames per second on a slim, portable device. That is the manufacturer’s number, and the release does not say which games or settings it was measured with.
The games NVIDIA names with launch support are Cyberpunk 2077, Fortnite, Gears of War: E-Day, Marvel Rivals, World of Warcraft and NBA 2K27. NVIDIA talks about “hundreds of games” but does not publish the full list.
NBA 2K27 is the showcase: it uses DLSS 5 with the 3D-Guided Neural Rendering feature to improve lighting and material detail. NVIDIA also released a new AI model today that is 2x faster and, according to the company, boosts DLSS 5 frame rates by up to 1.4x.
One detail worth knowing: the developer tools NVIDIA and Microsoft readied for RTX Spark include the first PyTorch-CUDA build for Windows on Arm, which means these laptops run Windows on Arm.
What it means if you are buying or upgrading
The release does not compare the RTX Spark GPU to any desktop card, so we cannot place it on canirun’s scale yet or tell you which graphics card it matches. What is clear is the $2,599 starting price, and that the pitch is as much about AI and creative work (local agents, Photoshop, Premiere, 8K video) as about games.
If gaming is all you need, that budget is worth comparing against a desktop. Our best GPU for gaming in 2026 guide and our best budget gaming PC build help you run those numbers, and you can check what an RTX 4060 or an RTX 5070 runs today.
Can your PC run the games on the list?
Four of the games NVIDIA names are in canirun’s catalog, and they are not equally demanding: Gears of War: E-Day’s recommended GPU scores 25,500 and Fortnite’s scores 6,050. Here is how your machine grades against all four, always measured against the recommended requirement:
| Game | Rec. GPU score | Rec. RAM | Min. RAM | Your PC |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| | 25,500 | 16 GB | 12 GB | ? |
| | 16,200 | 16 GB | 8 GB | ? |
| | 15,500 | 16 GB | 12 GB | ? |
| | 6,050 | 16 GB | 8 GB | ? |
