Stupid Never Dies PC requirements: Windows 11, 16 GB RAM and the GPUs that run it
Stupid Never Dies launches today on Steam. Here are the minimum and recommended PC requirements, which GPUs clear them according to canirun, why the RX 580 falls below the minimum by our benchmarks even though the studio lists it, and what to expect on Steam Deck.

Stupid Never Dies, the 3D action RPG from GPTRACK50, launches today, October 21, on Steam for $49.99. It is a single-player game. You play Davy, the weakest zombie imaginable, diving into a dungeon to defeat KOM, the King of Monsters, and bring Julia back to life. CGMagazine’s PC review says it might be one of the best action games of the year. Before you buy, two details matter: it asks for Windows 11 and 16 GB of RAM even at minimum.
Stupid Never Dies PC requirements
These are the official requirements from the Steam page:
| Minimum | Recommended | |
|---|---|---|
| GPU | GTX 1070 8 GB, RTX 3050 8 GB or RX 580 8 GB | RTX 3060 8 GB or RX 6600 8 GB |
| CPU | Core i5-8500 or Ryzen 5 3500 | 6 cores / 12 threads (Core i5-11600K or Ryzen 5 5600X) |
| RAM | 16 GB | 16 GB |
| Storage | 22 GB | 22 GB |
| OS | Windows 11 | Windows 11 |
Both tiers call for DirectX 12. The game is Windows only, with no Mac or Linux version, and the studio lists only Windows 11 as the OS. The minimum already asks for 16 GB of RAM, so a PC with 8 GB falls short even if its graphics card is good enough.
Which GPUs run it
We checked the requirements against canirun’s benchmark scores. Grades are measured against the recommended requirement, with 16 GB of RAM:
- RTX 3060 and RTX 4060: they meet the recommended spec and grade B, “Solid”.
- RTX 3050: it clears the minimum but grades D, “Struggles”, against the recommended. You can play it, with little headroom.
- RX 580: watch out for this one. The studio lists it at minimum, but by the benchmarks canirun uses it falls below that line and grades D, “Struggles”. If you have one, expect to turn settings down a lot.
What about Steam Deck?
Valve has not verified it yet. A spec-based estimate puts the Deck below the minimum, with an F against the recommended spec. Until Valve reviews it, keep an eye on the game’s Steam Deck page.
If you played the demo
On September 22 the studio updated the demo. The update improves attack tracking, especially against enemies on the ground or in the air, and adds a new “Combat Camera Assist” option that helps keep enemies in view during combat. You can turn it on or off in the Options menu, and both changes are also in the full game.
