Culdcept BEGINS launches on PC today: Intel HD 630 and 3 GB of storage

Culdcept BEGINS, the new entry in the Culdcept series, developed and published by Neos Corporation, launches today, October 27, on Steam. It is a game that blends board and card play, and according to its store page it brings a brand-new story after ten years, with over 400 cards with all-new visuals. It arrives with a Gold Hall of Fame award from Weekly Famitsu’s New Game Cross Review. The part PC players will care about is that it asks for very little: the minimum is Intel HD Graphics 630 and 3 GB of storage.

Two details are worth knowing. First, the page only lists minimum requirements: there is no recommended tier. Second, memory is listed literally as “6 MB RAM”, which looks like an error on the store page. Since there is no corrected figure, don’t take it at face value. The game also requires DirectX 11, and it is Windows only for now: no Mac or Linux version.

Which GPUs run it

Every popular GPU on our list clears the minimum, from a GTX 1650, a Radeon RX 580 or an RTX 3050 up to an RTX 5080. canirun grades all of them S, Overkill.

One note on those grades: canirun measures them against the recommended requirement, assuming 16 GB of RAM. Since this game has no recommended tier, you will see that no GPU is marked as meeting it. That is not a lack of power, there is simply nothing to compare against.

What about the Steam Deck?
