Cozy Game Restoration is out: PC, Mac and Steam Deck requirements

Cozy Game Restoration, Parasol Corp’s sim about cleaning up battered old game cartridges, launched November 4 on Steam for Windows and Mac at $14.99. According to the studio’s announcement, it unlocked at 4pm on November 4 in Los Angeles and at midnight on November 5 in London. If you play on a modest PC or a laptop without a dedicated GPU, this one is friendly: the minimum is Intel Graphics 4400 with 8 GB of RAM.

You open sealed parcels, peel off stickers, ink, dust and scratches, and work toward a collection of 108 titles inspired by classics from the 1980s to the early 2000s. There is no timer and no fail state.

Both tiers list DirectX 10. The store page also flags something easy to miss: you need a mouse with 2 buttons and a scroll wheel for camera control.

Which GPUs run it

The recommended tier is low, and every popular GPU we checked clears it. Measured against the recommended requirement, the GTX 1650, the GTX 1060 6GB and the Radeon RX 580 grade A (Smooth). From the RTX 3060 up, the grade is S (Overkill). Grades assume 16 GB of RAM, though the game only asks for 8 GB.

What about Mac and Steam Deck?

On Mac it asks for macOS High Sierra 10.13 or later on Intel machines, or Big Sur 11.0 on Apple silicon, with an Apple M1 or Intel Core M, 8 GB of RAM and 4 GB of storage. There are more options in our Mac games list.

One more thing: the studio says it now has almost 20 fully translated languages, and Demo Patch 6 noted that Latin American Spanish is labeled MX in the language settings.
