Euro Truck Simulator 2 update 1.62 is out for everyone with new garages: is your PC ready?
SCS Software released the final version of Euro Truck Simulator 2 update 1.62 on November 5, with new garages across the whole map and three DAF XG+ editions. Here are the requirements, which GPUs clear the minimum and the recommended, and Steam Deck.

Euro Truck Simulator 2 update 1.62 is now official: SCS Software released it on Steam on November 5, after the open beta. On October 23 we told you that the 1.62 beta brought new garages and three DAF XG+ editions. Now that content reaches every player. On Steam, the game went from 9,464 to 41,906 concurrent players. If you are coming back after a break, the 1.62 announcement does not mention any change to the requirements, so the math for your PC is the same.
What 1.62 brings
- DAF XG+ Emerald and Sapphire: green and blue paint jobs, exclusive exterior accessories and specially designed interiors.
- DAF XG+ 30 Years in Czechia: celebrates three decades of DAF in the Czech Republic with an anniversary design, unique exterior details and an exclusive interior with dedicated upholstery and stitching.
- New garages: refreshed models across the entire base map and all map DLCs, with more detail inside and out.
SCS also wrapped up the Return to Brackenreach event: the community completed 1,630,883 deliveries and beat the goal. It also shared that the Pinktober Pink Ribbon Charity Packs raised 32,000 USD for the Alliance of Women with Breast Cancer.
Iceland and Coaches
On October 27 we told you that Iceland releases on November 10. What is new this week is a look at Reykjavík: SCS showed how it recreated the capital on the Seltjarnarnes peninsula, with Route 41 linking it to Keflavík and a short section of Route 49 toward the Ring Road, and confirmed new Special Transport routes on the island. Coaches, the bus DLC we covered on November 1, is still set for November 12.

The game also runs on Mac and Linux, with 8 GB of RAM minimum and 12 GB recommended. On Linux, SCS asks for recent binary ATI or NVIDIA drivers and warns that MESA may not work reliably.
Which GPUs run it
Every GPU we checked clears the minimum. The canirun grade is measured against the recommended:
- GTX 1650: clears the minimum but grades D (Struggles) against the recommended.
- GTX 1060 6GB and RX 580: C (Tight), between the minimum and the recommended.
