Desktop Wallet Heroes launched on Steam on November 4, 2026. It’s free and Windows only. The game is an idle RPG from SUPERCAT that runs as an overlay: your characters hunt monsters along the bottom of your screen while you work or browse. It has 1,773 concurrent players right now, and the first days brought connection problems that the studio is already patching. Before you install it, keep in mind that it asks for more GPU than you’d expect from a game that sits in a strip of your desktop.
Desktop Wallet Heroes PC requirements
These are the official requirements from the Steam page:
| Minimum | Recommended | |
|---|---|---|
| GPU | GeForce GTX 1050 2GB or Radeon RX 560 4GB | GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB) or Radeon RX 580 (8GB) |
| CPU | Core i3-6100 or Ryzen 3 1200 | Core i5-8400 or Ryzen 5 2600 |
| RAM | 8 GB | 16 GB |
| Storage | 2 GB | 2 GB |
| OS | Windows 10 / 11 64-bit | Windows 10 / 11 64-bit |
It also requires DirectX 12 and a broadband internet connection. There is no Mac or Linux version.
For reference, Clicker Heroes, another classic idle game, asks for far less GPU in its recommended spec.
Which GPUs run it, and what about Steam Deck
Every popular GPU we checked clears the minimum. Here is how each one grades, measured against the recommended requirement:
- A (Smooth): the RTX 2060, RTX 3060, RX 7600 and Arc B580 run it with room to spare.
- B (Solid): the GTX 1060 6GB, GTX 1660 Super and RTX 3050 meet the recommended.
- C (Tight): the GTX 1650 and RX 580 clear the minimum but fall short of the recommended. The RX 580 8GB appears in Steam’s recommended spec, but in our benchmark table it doesn’t quite meet it.
Grades assume 16 GB of RAM, which is exactly what the recommended spec asks for. With 8 GB you meet the minimum.
On Steam Deck, Valve hasn’t verified the game yet. Our spec-based estimate gives it an F and puts it below the minimum. Treat that as a rough guide, not a real-world test. You can follow updates on its Steam Deck page.
A launch with connection drops
On November 5, at around 15:15 KST, players hit connection instability. SUPERCAT said the same day that the issue was resolved. On November 6, the studio posted that it is looking into other in-game issues reported by players and that fixing them may take some time.
The same day, it applied a hotfix at 16:10 KST with these changes:
- Better network connection stability.
- An improved Steam Link connection method.
- Fixes for issues with the DLC Hero Characters.
If the game disconnects you briefly while the patch is applied, reconnect and download the update.
Can your PC run Desktop Wallet Heroes?
Here’s how your rig grades against Desktop Wallet Heroes and Clicker Heroes:

| | 2,500 | 1 GB | 1 GB | ? |
