Russian Fishing 4 is free on Steam: PC requirements and which GPUs run it

Russian Fishing 4, the fishing simulator with RPG elements from FishSoft LLC, is free on Steam and, as of this writing, has 18,051 concurrent players. It has been on Steam since November 10, 2021, and it does not need a new PC: the minimum is a GTX 760 with 8 GB of RAM, and a GTX 1060 gets you to the recommended spec. It is an open world with no story, where you fish at your own pace, and you need a broadband internet connection to play.

These are the official requirements from the Steam page. The game is Windows only:

Both tiers call for DirectX 11 and a broadband connection. The CPU is listed by clock speed only, with no specific model, so treat it as a rough guide.

Which GPUs run it

Every popular GPU we checked clears the minimum. The difference is how much headroom you get against the recommended spec:

GTX 1650 and RX 580: they clear the minimum but not the recommended. They grade C (Tight) measured against the recommended spec, so the game runs, with some quality trimmed.
GTX 1060 6GB: this is the recommended card itself, and it grades B (Solid).
RTX 3050: it clears the recommended with room to spare and grades A (Smooth), same as the GTX 1660 Super, RX 7600 and Arc B580.

canirun grades assume 16 GB of RAM. This game asks for 8 GB at both minimum and recommended, so memory should not be what holds you back. Keep 40 GB of free space in mind before you download it.

What about Steam Deck?
