NVIDIA 621.14 driver: DLSS 5 in Hogwarts Legacy and Game Ready for WoW: Forever
NVIDIA released the Game Ready 621.14 WHQL driver with support for World of Warcraft: Forever, DLSS 5 in Hogwarts Legacy for RTX 50, RTX Spark and GeForce NOW Ultimate, and DLSS 5 in War Thunder in a few weeks. What it brings and what it means for your GeForce.
In this guide 3
NVIDIA released the GeForce Game Ready 621.14 WHQL driver on November 4 for GeForce RTX and RTX Spark PCs. It arrives for the launch of World of Warcraft: Forever, which came out that same day, and brings the headline feature for anyone on a new card: DLSS 5 with 3D-Guided Neural Rendering in Hogwarts Legacy starting today, November 5, and in War Thunder in a few weeks. On October 22 we covered another Game Ready driver, the one that turned on Advanced Shader Delivery in Modern Warfare 4.
What the 621.14 driver brings
- World of Warcraft: Forever: launch optimizations. It is a new beginning from the team behind WoW: Classic, with a reimagined Azeroth, new and expanded zones with enhanced graphics, over a thousand new quests, 9 new dungeons and two new max-level raids to start the end game.
- Hogwarts Legacy: DLSS 5 is available now. To use it, download the game update, go to the in-game options and turn on “Neural Rendering”. According to NVIDIA, it enhances detail and shadows in environments, character texture detail, shading, lighting and reflections.
- War Thunder: the Eagle’s Shadow major update goes live in a few weeks with DLSS 5, dozens of new planes, ships and tanks, cluster bombs for planes and visual effect enhancements. The game already supports DLSS 4.5 Multi Frame Generation, Super Resolution, Ray Reconstruction, DLAA, Reflex, ray tracing and path-traced global illumination.
- DOOM: The Dark Ages | Revelations: support for Slaughter Mode, an endless single-player mode coming later this month, with escalating demon waves across multiple arenas. NVIDIA suggests turning on ray tracing or path tracing along with DLSS Ray Reconstruction, Super Resolution and Multi Frame Generation.
You can get it through the NVIDIA app or from GeForce.com. If something breaks, NVIDIA asks for reports on its driver feedback forums, and the same page links the full list of fixes.
What it means for your GeForce
The fine print matters here: for Hogwarts Legacy, NVIDIA says DLSS 5 is available on all GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs and laptops, RTX Spark PCs and GeForce NOW Ultimate. The page does not mention any other generation. For War Thunder, it does not say which GPUs support it. The WoW: Forever optimizations, on the other hand, are announced for GeForce RTX and RTX Spark systems in general.
NVIDIA pitches DLSS 5 as an image quality upgrade: more detail, better shadows and lighting. The page gives no performance numbers, so we cannot tell you how it changes your fps.
If you are thinking about upgrading and want DLSS 5 in Hogwarts Legacy, the RTX 50 Series is on NVIDIA’s list. See what else an RTX 5070 or an RTX 5080 runs, and compare options in our best GPU for gaming in 2026 guide. If you have neither an RTX 50 card nor an RTX Spark PC, the page lists GeForce NOW Ultimate, in the cloud, as the other way to use it in Hogwarts Legacy.
Can your PC run these games?
Here is how your PC grades against the recommended requirement of the three games getting new features with this driver:
| Game | Rec. GPU score | Rec. RAM | Min. RAM | Your PC |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| | 15,050 | 16 GB | 16 GB | ? |
| | 7,750 | 16 GB | 4 GB | ? |
| | 25,040 | 32 GB | 16 GB | ? |
Watch the memory: DOOM: The Dark Ages recommends 32 GB of RAM, while Hogwarts Legacy and War Thunder recommend 16 GB. For your full grade, open Hogwarts Legacy, War Thunder or DOOM: The Dark Ages.
