SCP: Project Pneuma PC requirements: SSD required and which GPUs run it
SCP: Project Pneuma PC requirements: GTX 1650 and 8 GB RAM minimum, RTX 3060 Ti and 16 GB recommended, 30 GB on a required SSD. Which popular GPUs clear each tier and what to expect on Steam Deck.
In this guide 5
SCP: Project Pneuma, the first-person psychological survival horror game from studio Zatun, is planned to arrive in Steam Early Access in October 2026. It’s a single-player game: you play Dr Alexander Kolchak, one of the few survivors of Site-63, crossing a haunted exclusion zone to reach Site-19 while sneaking past anomalies you can’t fight. For PC players, the important part is in the fine print: an SSD is required, it needs DirectX 12, and integrated graphics are not supported.
SCP: Project Pneuma PC requirements
These are the official requirements from the Steam page:
| Minimum | Recommended | |
|---|---|---|
| GPU | GeForce GTX 1650 or RX 6500 XT | GeForce RTX 3060 Ti or RX 6700 XT |
| CPU | Core i5-10400 or Ryzen 5 3600 | Core i5-12600K or Ryzen 5 7600 |
| RAM | 8 GB | 16 GB |
| Storage | 30 GB on SSD | 30 GB on SSD |
| OS | Windows 10 64-bit | Windows 11 |
Both tiers list DirectX 12 and require a 64-bit processor and operating system. The minimum spells out that integrated graphics are not supported, so a machine without a dedicated card is out. The SSD isn’t a suggestion either: it’s listed as required at both tiers. The game is Windows only, with no Mac or Linux version on the store page.
Which GPUs handle it
Every popular card we track on canirun clears the minimum, including the GTX 1650 that Zatun lists as the floor. Clearing the minimum isn’t the same as playing comfortably, though:
- GTX 1650: clears the minimum but grades F against the recommended. It will launch, but it will struggle.
- RTX 4060: falls short of the recommended and grades C, between minimum and recommended. Tight, but playable.
- RTX 3060 Ti: it’s the recommended card and grades B, solid.
- RX 9070 XT: clears it with room to spare and grades A.
All these grades are measured against the recommended requirement and assume 16 GB of RAM, which is exactly what the recommended tier asks for. With 8 GB you meet the minimum.
What about Steam Deck?
Valve hasn’t rated it yet. Our spec-based estimate, which is no substitute for real testing, gives it an F against the recommended and puts it below the minimum. You can see the details on the game’s Steam Deck page.
An Early Access game from a team of four
Zatun says on the store page that the team is four people and that it will read the Steam forums, its Discord, Reddit and its social channels to decide what to work on. As it ships new content and features, including Chapter II, the price may go up. The studio promises to announce any increase in advance, so anyone considering the game can buy it at the current price.
