STALZONE hits 16,645 players ahead of the Festivity event: can your PC run it?

STALZONE, EXBO’s free extraction shooter, has 16,645 concurrent players on Steam today, up from 5,192 in our previous reading. The jump comes ahead of Festivity, the event EXBO has set for October 28 and has been testing on a test server that closes today. On October 16 we told you that the studio had confirmed client crashes and opened a first test server. This time what is being tested is an event. And since the game is free, the question for anyone coming back or trying it for the first time is simple: will their PC run it.

What Festivity brings and what ends first

Here is what EXBO posted on Steam over the last few days:

• Festivity starts October 28. The new trailer teases what awaits you in the Arena.
• Open Test Server (OTS): running from October 23, 15:00 (UTC) to October 25, 20:59 (UTC), for EU and RU players only. Access is limited to players who reached Bar reputation level 2 and played more than 10 hours last month, and progress does not carry over to the live servers. EXBO wants feedback on the mode’s gameplay, economy and balance.
• Today’s OTS changes: tougher PvE rounds, a movement and sprint speed multiplier for the Snork set, and more damage against zombified enemies for the Rat set at levels 2 and 3, plus a weapon damage multiplier at level 3.
• The current event is wrapping up: finish the challenges before October 28 to get 500 Act Tickets and the Veil style.
• The personal store is back, with randomly chosen discounted offers for every player: styles, charms and packs.

STALZONE PC requirements

These are the Windows requirements from the Steam page. There is no Mac or Linux version.

Both tiers also list a broadband internet connection.

Which graphics cards run it

Every card on our list clears the minimum. The difference is how they grade against the recommended requirement:

• GTX 1650 and RX 580: clear the minimum and grade C (Tight) against the recommended. You can play, with little headroom. Note on the RX 580: even though Steam lists it as recommended, it grades C on canirun while the GTX 1060 6GB grades B.
• GTX 1060 6GB: meets the recommended, grade B (Solid).
• RTX 3060, RX 7600 or Arc B580: grade A (Smooth) against the recommended.
• RTX 3060 Ti, RTX 4060 or RX 9070 XT: grade S (Overkill).

Grades assume 16 GB of RAM. The game recommends 8 GB, and Steam suggests an SSD in both tiers.
